Honesty is the Best Practice

In our quest to be accepted by others, we often abandon what we know is right.

There is no amount of rationalizing that can justify dishonest practices.

Entering into this type of engagement will only lead to a bigger problem in the end.

You can navigate through life either impressing people with lies or influencing people with the truth.

Seeking truth transforms us.

Some people think they will get what they want through dishonest practices so they’ll flatter, deceive, and lie to the point of affecting their very core.

This type of behavior can cause you to lose sight of who you are and your ability to relate to others.

When you engage with lies, you engage with fear.

Giving Someone a Choice

As human beings, we have the right to choose. Unfortunately, some people take away this right for selfish reasons or cultural beliefs. An extreme example is slavery and forced marriages. More common abuses are lying and cheating.

Imagine meeting someone new and taking a personal interest in them. During preliminary conversations, this person does not reveal that they are in a committed relationship. As time goes on, you develop a physical and emotional connection with this person and later discover they are actively involved in another relationship.

While it may be easy to carry out our lives in an oblivious manner, others should not suffer from selfish choices made on their behalf and without their input. Honesty gives others freedom of choice.
